7 Trigger Points to Managing Your Acne - Learn How to Avoid Getting Acne

One way you can dramatically improve your acne is by taking a look at your lifestyle choices. Sometimes you may find that your acne is triggered through certain everyday events, for example a stressful time at work or added pressures at home.

Acne can also come about when you eat certain foods but the best way to get rid of acne is by learning how to avoid getting acne in the first place, that could be by identifying what causes it and then try to either eliminate those foods or find away to dramatically decrease your levels of stress.

Here is a list of 7 possible trigger points that may cause acne flare-ups:

1. Stress levels that are high - most acne flare-ups have come about due to the onset of stress. Find ways that you can dramatically reduce your stress levels. These could include exercise, meditation, yoga, or just going for a long walk.

2. Changes in your hormonal levels - For most women, they may find their acne erupts just before their menstrual cycle begins. Teenagers will find that their skin changes as their adult reproductive hormones surge.

3. Picking your pimples, zits or scabs - This will lead to further eruptions and more acne flare-ups. If you are a compulsive picker then you will need to find a solution that will teach you techniques to stop.

4. Substance abuse or taking illegal drugs - Any methamphetamine type drug, such as cocaine can cause severe acne break outs that are usually not helped with accompanying poor health and eating habits.

5. Legal stimulants - These could be coffee, energy drinks and soft drinks that are high in sugar. By consuming too much of these type of stimulants you will increase the size and intensity of each acne breakout.

6. Smoking and alcohol - By limiting the need to smoke and drink alcohol on a regular basis, you will have a dramatic decline in skin eruptions.

7. Junk Food - Poor nutrition can play a major role in how your acne reacts to stress and changes in your lifestyle conditions. By maintaining a high level of good nutrition you are supporting good skin care and less flare-ups.

If you take care and are mindful of these basic trigger points, you will have more control in managing and getting rid of your acne.
